Never Again
You will notice that I didn’t write a blog yesterday, and, yes, that means I didn’t work on my novel. I was slammed with work, between cleaning, grading, running around to find a sunlamp off Craigslist (in prep for the gray Seattle winter to come), and so on…I crossed all but two items off one of the longest lists I’d had in months, and, unfortunately, those two items were “Write!” and “Write Blog!”Actually, at this moment, I am cheating, for I have not worked on my novel today, either. But I simply couldn’t wait. I am, no joke, writing this blog on my new (well, new to me) MACBOOK, and I am SO happy! In fact, though I only scraped through with three hours of sleep last night, I am still up after 11 p.m., after a long drive up to Bellingham to pick it up, just so I can write this. And, even better, the computer doesn’t have Word. Or Excel, or any Microsoft program…instead of Microsoft Office, it has “iWork,” completely compatible with those other programs, but not made and produced by the big M.I cannot tell you how much peace that brings me, knowing I am not using anything Microsoft. And I have Matthew to thank–thanks, Matt, you fabulous Craigslister, you! And his girlfriend is a participant in the NaNoWriMo writing sprint this month, too. What is it they say? Once you go Mac, you never go back? I feel as if I have filed for divorce from Microsoft, knowing I could do much better. Now all I have to do is transfer all my stuff–blog bookmarks included–over to this fabulous computer. And I can’t wait…

woo hoo … back in business sans microsoft … I sense great things a’comin’
So with all that, I hate to ask how the write-a-thon is going today. Any chance of getting some words done?
Glad you enjoy the computer
And you’re very welcome.
So glad you checked the blog, Matt! And thanks again!
Actually, rosearcher, I am going to write RIGHT NOW (and yes, it’s almost ten, but I have to get something done before I go to sleep…
Now, to work!
